Belated Xmas Photos

Work outside continues....

Weather boarding finished and awaiting staining, patio & paths under construction

 

 

And a new addition to the walled kitchen garden

 

 

 

We've moved.....

.....into some of the rooms!

 

Well we have unpacked some of the boxes, but many are still piled up in the unfinished rooms.

 

T1 and T2 are pretty much sorted. They have both moved into rooms that are considerably bigger than their previous bedrooms and they seem to have  spread themselves out and filled the space (not sure how all their possessions fitted into their previous rooms now!)

 

 

Our room is still work in progress but hope to be in it soon.

Headboard ready and waiting, with dressing area to the rear.

 

 

Carpenters have been busy fitting the staircase

 

Fitted furniture company have been fitting furniture!

 

 

Another two areas of completeness are:

The family room - a place to hide when the builders dust gets too much!

 

 

And the kitchen - our small table for 4 looked lost in the dining space so a larger one was purchased. We think it looks superb in our oak framed house.

 

 

 



 

 



 

Nearly but not quite...

.....We are nearly living the dream, but it's not quite finished. 

They're working hard....

....because time is ticking by so there is definitely no rest for the wicked.

But this doesn't stop good workmanship - look at the skill that has gone onto getting a good fixing for our exterior lights onto the weatherboarding. Much appreciated!

 

 

Work continues in the kitchen.

What do you think we should have for the splash back behind the Aga? 

 

 

 



And it wasn't all about heating yesterday....

...the granite was delivered, and very nice it looks too.

 

 

Also this week the wine cellar door/wall has gone in (not sure we will be able to afford any wine to fill it after this project!

 

 

Study has started to go in - a lovely triple aspect room to daydream in when one should be working!

 

 

And rooms are being cleared ready for the wooden flooring to go in next week.

 

 

Should be even more activity next week and hopefully the sun will continue to shine.

 



 



 



How many people does it take to get your heating on?

 

Definitely a day when I was not required! I'll leave this to the experts (all of them!)
